Beyond the Bars (2021–present)

After a decade behind bars, freedom brings its own challenges. These essays chronicle the complex reality of reentry—from finding housing and employment as a registered sex offender to navigating relationships, probation visits, and the simple act of ordering food at a restaurant. They explore the ongoing struggle between who you were, who you became in prison, and who you're trying to become in a world that has moved on without you.
